Saku Broadway is a focused spot for tonkatsu lovers nestled on West Broadway, offering a straightforward dining experience centered around crispy, breaded pork and chicken dishes. The atmosphere is clean and minimal, prioritizing practicality over cozy comfort—some diners find the seating a bit rigid, but it suits a no-frills, efficient meal well.

The menu caters well to those who appreciate variety within the tonkatsu realm, ranging from classic pork loin cuts like the Rosu Katsu to more indulgent options such as Cheese Katsu and The Zenbu Katsu, which combines several types. There’s also attention given to balancing heavier fried items with lighter sides: unlimited refills of shredded cabbage salad, miso soup, and sticky rice help temper the richness of the fried pork and chicken. For curry fans, the Rosu Curry and Hire Curry add a warmly spiced dimension over rice, rounding out the meal.

This spot tends to attract people who want a hearty, satisfying lunch or dinner without the fuss of a long wait, especially on weekends when arriving early can secure a quick table. Locals who frequent Saku appreciate the generous portions and the value of all-you-can-eat side servings, though those seeking attentive service might occasionally find getting the staff’s attention a bit of a task. In short, it’s a place to dig into crispy, juicy tonkatsu without distraction, best suited for anyone craving a reliably crispy bite paired with familiar Japanese comfort sides.

Food: got the chicken Katsu with curry. The Katsu was sooo crispy and the chicken was so tender and juicy. The curry added really good flavor. It was so delicious. Service: let me start off that miso soup, rice and cabbage are unlimited!!! The servers are nice but then kept forgetting about our table and it was hard to get their attention. Atmosphere: very clean style. I despise their chairs tho. It's just a bar for the back rest. My friend was very uncomfortable

Came here for lunch on a Saturday when they opened. Got our table immediately. The two of us split The Zenbu Katsu and had more than enough to eat. The food was prepared nicely, though I found the panko layer to be a bit too thick. Service was where they really shined.

I like their katsu a lot! And there's so much variety on the menu. Free refills of soup, rice, and cabbage can't be beat either.

Saku showed up on various social media as the go to place for Katsu. The katsu was good, crispy with nice fatty bits. The soup and salad balanced out all the fried stuff in the meal. Was a good meal especially during lunch.

This place was delicious!! The chicken was so juicy and crunchy. The curry was rich, and I liked the unlimited soup, salad, and rice. We will definitely be back.

We came here shortly after opening on a Monday during the holiday and there was no wait. An hour later the restaurant was full. The service was amazing. They are attentive and never let our water glass go below half. They even helped us take our picture. The washrooms are clean. The food was so good. If you love cheese but are lactose sensitive/intolerant. Don't order the cheese katsu no matter how tempting it is. It’s purely cheese and too much. Instead, order a pork katsu and order the side cheese katsu. It’s a great experience to crush the sesame seeds. They show you what each item on the set is for. The salad dressing is really good and you don’t always get that when ordering katsu in other restaurants. It is pricey but I haven’t tasted katsu that good since I went to Japan. We left feeling full and happy
